Coordinates: 42°27′43″N 92°19′19″W / 42.462°N 92.322°W Crossroads Center is a shopping mall located in Waterloo, Iowa. It is a dominant shopping center in northeast Iowa with a trade area that extends more than 50 miles (80 km). The mall opened in 1969, is owned by Urban Retail. It is located in the heart of a retail hub that includes a 12 screen theater, Best Buy, SuperTarget, Walmart, Barnes & Noble, Bed Bath & Beyond and many other national tenants. The mall is located near the interchange of Interstate 380 and U.S. Highway 20.
The mall's anchors include Sears, which relocated from downtown,[2] plus Younkers, Dillard's (added in 1996)[3] and Gordmans, which was formerly a Phar-Mor for only one month.[4] Other former anchors included James Black (later Donaldson's, then Carson Pirie Scott) and F.W. Woolworth Company.
