Danny Addy is a professional rugby league player who is currently contracted to the Bradford Bulls who play in the RFL Championship.

He is a Scotland international and scored a try on his debut against Papua New Guinea in a World Cup warm-up match on 19 October 2013.

Danny hails from Pontefract and is a product of the Bulls Junior Development system. He is equally at home at loose forward or in either half-back role and is a high quality kicker, both from out of his hands and from the floor.

20102010 Season

Danny appeared in the pre-season friendly against Castleford where he started at Loose Forward and scored 2 points by kicking a conversion.

Addy featured in nine consecutive games from Round 15 (Leeds Rhinos) to Round 23 (Hull KR). Danny would then feature in the last two games (Wakefield Trinity Wildcats) and (Wigan Warriors). Addy also featured in the Challenge Cup game against Dewsbury Rams. He scored points against Hull FC (1 try), Salford City Reds (3 goals), Hull KR (2 goals) and Dewsbury Rams (1 try, 2 goals). At the end of the 2010 season Danny Addy signed a new two-year contract at the Bulls.

20112011 Season

Addy featured in two of the four pre-season games. He played against Halifax RLFC and Dewsbury Rams.

Addy featured in Round 3 (Crusaders RL) and Round 4 (Wakefield Trinity Wildcats). His next game would be Round 8 (Harlequins RL) then Round 16 (Harlequins RL). He then featured in ten consecutive games from Round 18 (Hull FC) to Round 27 (Wakefield Trinity Wildcats).

20122012 Season

Addy featured in three of the four pre-season friendlies. He played against Castleford Tigers, Dewsbury Rams and Keighley Cougars.

Addy featured in nine consecutive games from Round 6 (Hull Kingston Rovers) to Round 14 (Salford City Reds). Addy also appeared in Rounds 16 (Castleford Tigers) to Round 17 (St Helens). Add featured in Round 22 (Warrington Wolves) to Round 23 (Widnes Vikings). He also featured in the Challenge Cup against Doncaster RLFC and Warrington Wolves. Addy scored against Widnes Vikings (1 goal), Doncaster RLFC (10 goals), Huddersfield Giants (1 goal) and Warrington Wolves (2 tries).

Addy signed a one-year Extension to his contract.

20132013 Season

Addy featured in the pre-season friendlies against Dewsbury Rams and Leeds Rhinos.

He featured in 27 consecutive games from Round 1 (Wakefield Wildcats) to Round 27 (Huddersfield Giants). Addy featured in the Challenge Cup against Rochdale Hornets and London Broncos. He scored against Huddersfield Giants (2 tries), London Broncos (2 tries) and Castleford Tigers (1 try).

He signed a two-year Extension to stay with the Bulls.

20142014 Season

Addy featured in the pre-season games against Hull FC, Dewsbury Rams and Castleford Tigers. He scored against Hull FC (1 try).

He featured in Round 1 (Castleford Tigers) to Round 7 (Widnes Vikings). Danny featured in Round 9 (Leeds Rhinos) to Round 27 (London Broncos). Addy featured in Round 4 (Oldham Roughyeds) to the Quarter Final (Warrington Wolves) in the Challenge Cup. He scored against Castleford Tigers (1 try), London Broncos (1 try), Oldham Roughyeds (1 try), Huddersfield Giants (1 try), Hull KR (1 try) and Hull FC (1 try).

International career

Addy was named as part of the Scotland squad for the 2013 Rugby League World Cup.[2] He featured in the warm up game against Papua New Guinea where he scored a try and kicked a goal in the 20-38 loss.

Danny featured in the group games against Tonga, Italy and USA. Addy also played in the Quarter Final against New Zealand. He scored against Italy (1 try).

Addy was selected in the Scotland squad for the 2014 European Cup. He played at hooker in the tournaments opening game against Wales, he then featured against Ireland and France. He scored against Ireland (1 try).

Danny was selected in the Scotland squad for the 2015 European Cup. He started at scrum half alongside Danny Brough for the opening match against Wales and then at Loose Forward against France. He scored against France (2 tries).
