José Edgar Andrade Costa (born 14 April 1987) is a Portuguese footballer who plays for C.S. Marítimo as a forward or winger.

Football career

Born in Câmara de Lobos, Madeira, Costa finished his football formation with local C.F. União, making his senior debuts in 2006 with the club and going on to play with it in three third division seasons.

In the 2009 summer he joined neighbouring C.D. Nacional, appearing in 14 games in first season in the Primeira Liga (nine as a substitute) and scoring two goals as the team finished in seventh position. His debut in the competition came on 12 September 2009, playing 25 minutes in a 0–2 away loss against Rio Ave FC.

In January 2012, Costa spent a week on trial at West Ham United,[1] but nothing came of it. Released by Nacional in the 2013 summer, he signed for Moreirense F.C. in the second level.
