Ewood Bridge and Edenfield railway station served the village of Edenfield in Rossendale.

History

On 25 September 1916 a 179m-long German military Zeppelin airship flew over the area, attempting to inflict damage on the transport system. It dropped bombs on Ewood Bridge station which was destroyed.[2]

The station was closed on 3 June 1972.[3] The line was later reopened by the preserved East Lancashire Railway using a new (and replacement) station, Irwell Vale just south of the old site of Ewood Bridge.
