Fattu Dhinga is a village in Kapurthala district of Punjab State, India. It is located 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) from Kapurthala, which is both district and sub-district headquarters of Fattu Dhinga. The village is administrated by a sarpanch, an elected representative of the village.[1]
Demography
According to the report published by Census India in 2011, Fattu Dhinga has a total number of 597 houses and population of 3,174 of which include 1,638 males and 1,536 females. Literacy rate of Fattu Dhinga is 71.76%, lower than state average of 75.84%. The population of children under the age of 6 years is 359 which is 11.31% of total population of Fattu Dhinga, and child sex ratio is approximately 860, higher than state average of 846.[2]
As per census 2011, 1,161 people were engaged in work activities out of the total population of Fattu Dhinga which includes 924 males and 237 females. According to census survey report 2011, 85.10% workers describe their work as main work and 14.90% workers are involved in Marginal activity providing livelihood for less than 6 months.
