Fulgazi, or Phulgazi,[1] is a municipal sub-district of the Feni District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh. It is situated in the northern part of Feni and is noted as the ancestral place of two-time former prime minister of Bangladesh, Begum Khaleda Zia. Natural beauty of this area is amazing. The rivers Muhuri, Selonia, and Kahuya increase its importance. Fulgazi is approximately 130 kilometres from the capital, Dhaka. The place earned its reputation as an 'Upazila,' or translated to English as municipal sub-District on the year 2002, when Begum Khaleda Zia visited the place to inaugurate numerous projects. The administrative offices of the Fulgazi sub district is run by a sub-district Chairman, elected by the people. Kismot ghonia mora is one of the village of fulgazi. There are a historical home named Chowdhury bari. Mohammad Martuja founded it.

Geography

This upazila is blocked by India on two sides, east and west. Prarashuram upazila is in its north on the other hand Chagalnaiya is in its south. West frontier union is New Munshir Hat and east frontier Union is Amzadhat. Darbarpur, GM Hat & Hassanpur are also famous unions.

The roads at Fulgazi are of very good condition. The residents of Fulgazi have access to utilities such as mobile telecommunication, pure water, gas and electricity. Tourist services remains minimal, but since the roads are in good condition, people from around the world have access to Fulgazi by car from Dhaka. There were no hotels in Fulgazi. There are only a handful of local restaurants and a VIP rest house. Bricks, agricultural products, rice & fisheries are main export products in Fulgazi. Fulgazi also has banks, number of maternity clinics and schools.

Fulgazi has people from all faiths. The majority is Muslim and some Hindus & Buddhists. There were numbers of mosques and temples in Fulgazi.
