Hampiholi is a village on the banks of river Malaprabha. Hampi veerupaksha temple on the bank of Malaprabha holi (holi Kannada word for river)so Hampiholi.Village is in Belgaum district just 14 km away from Ramdurga taluk in the southern state of Karnataka, India.There is a famous lord Dattatreya temple privately owned by Inamdar family.[2] Every year "DATTA UTSAV" in APRIL (CHAITRA MAAS)for 8 days performed.Every day pooja n annasantarpan(lunch for devotees)arranged.Great saints namely Shri Kanchi Paramacharya,Shri Swarnawalli Gangadharendra swamiji,shakatapuri swamyji have visited this holy temple.Famous Shri Datta Avadhoot Maharaj Hebballi is also from this place n always initiating n leading all developmental works in temple.He is also of Hampiholi Inamdar family.

ON OCTOBER 24TH 2015 around 50 lord DATTA devotees from Dharwad going to Hampiholi by paadayatra(by walk).

HOW TO REACH HAMPIHOLI:

BY BUS:

1.IF YOU ARE COMING FROM Belgaum city CATCH BUSES FROM Belgaum to RAMDURG TO SUREBAN(14 km) THEN WALK JUST 1 km TO HAMPIHOLI

2. CATCH A BUS TO SUREBAN FROM SAUNDATTI(45 km) IF YOU ARE COMING FROM DHARWAD

3. Catch a bus to konnur(bijapur bus) then from konnur to sureban if you are coming from Hubli.

RAILWAY:

Near railway station is either Hubli or Dharwad.

AIRPORT : HUBLI n Belgaum

If you wish to travel by car from Hubli to Navalgund TO Nargund TO konnur TO sureban.(2 hour journey)

From Dharwad to saundatti to Hooli to shirsangi to Mullur to Sureban(80 km-2 hr journey).
