Helveteshymner is the third full-length album by black metal band Blodsrit; it is also its first album to feature Black Metal music and also it is the first album to make use of Melancholia lyrical themes.
Creation
Helveteshymner was created because of the bands' suffering in the past and their emotions about it, due to Yxmarder being fired from a teaching job due to the being a member of the band, he felt life was hell, and felt suicidal, so Blodsrit decided to release Helveteshymner as a way of letting people know what they feel, how they felt and what they went through, the album managed to touch the hearts of fans and open their eyes to the real world instead of a fantasy world.
Style and lyrics
Helveteshymner uses guitars played with tremolo picking, blast beat drumming, and shriek vocals. The lyrical themes focused on Death, Praise for death, longing for death, but also made use of Melancholy lyrics as well as acts of blasphemy.
