The House at 77 Howard Street in Reading, Massachusetts is an excellent example of a well preserved Queen Anne Victorian house. The 2.5 story wood frame house was built in the 1890s, as part of a building boom in which Reading was transformed into a railroad suburb of Boston. Although it has a basically rectangular massing, it has a complex appearance, with the turret on the left, bay windows on the front facade, and a large front gable on the right side of the hipped roof. The gable is decorated with scalloped shingles and has a small recessed window. The front porch has bracketed turned columns and delicate balusters.[2]

The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.[1]
