James Parker (hammer thrower)
James D. Parker (born December 3, 1975 in Biloxi, Mississippi[1]) is a retired American track and field athlete who specialized in the hammer throw.[2] He represented the United States at the 2004 Summer Olympics without making the final. He won the silver medal at the 2003 Pan American Games.
His personal best in the event is 79.20 meters (259 feet 10 inches) from 2004.
Parker served as first lieutenant with the U.S. Air Force.[3]
