Jazz Winnipeg Festival
The Jazz Winnipeg Festival is a major Canadian jazz festival started in 1990 in Winnipeg. It is generally held in the month of June. A variety of Canadian and major international artists attend and perform in several related jazz genres. 2013 performers included The Roots, George Benson, Preservation Hall Jazz Band and others.
Notable performers from previous years have included Charlie Haden, Sonny Rollins, Dave Holland, McCoy Tyner, Herbie Hancock, Dave Brubeck, Wynton Marsalis, Al Green, Booker T. Jones and The Neville Brothers.
