Jhagrakhand is a town and a nagar panchayat in Koriya District in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[1] Jhagrakhand had a population of 7507. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Jhagrakhand has an average literacy rate of 63%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 72%, and female literacy is 54%. In Jhagrakhand, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.

- Market Place: market of the jkd is filled with the basic amenities, doctor clinic, cloth shops, restaurants, and basic goods shops. The basic feature of the market is that a huge place for marketing and a two way market so that there is no problem with traffic.
- Durga Pandal: in the jkd there so many durga pandal but the beauty of the paldal which is situated in dafai no 7 is most beautiful among them all. rather than colony no 7 colony no 1, and in ravan ground also there are beautiful pandals.
- The head of heasdoe are the cgm . and other officer lives near colony no 7.
- Hospital: There is a SECL managed hospital and several small clinics in this town.
- Main office(Mohara in local Lang.): The control office for WATER supply in the town. Central bank of India is the only bank which is present here.
- Playing areas: badi ground, sindhi society ground market ground, ravan ground, 2 no ground.
- Colony Area: Here the colonies are called as Dafai in local language. There are total 7 colonies (Dafai) starting from 1 to 7where there are quarters for SECL employees. There is a Kali Tample (Kali Badi), at dafai No. 7. in every amawasya there is a local fest.
- Schools: Kendriya Vidyalaya(English medium), Marea School(Eng.med), Saint Joseph School(Eng. MED.), Higher Secondary School (Hin.Med.), High secondary girls school, Sindi society education.
- Siddh Baba: There is a small Lord Siva temple at the top of the Siddh Baba Hill. Fair gets organised on Makar Sankranti and Maha Shivratri days, which is very famous in that area.
- Other beauti: magardaha nala, hasdeo river.
