KKEG (98.3 FM, "98.3 The Keg") is a radio station broadcasting a mainstream rock format. Licensed to Bentonville, Arkansas, USA, it serves the Fayetteville (North West Arkansas) area. It first began broadcasting in 1983 under the call sign KBCV. The station is currently owned by Cumulus Media.

History

On August 31, 1983, the station was first assigned the call sign KBCV.

In 2012 KKEG allotted Sunday nights at 9pm to local and regional bands, naming the show 983 The Keg's Home Brew Hour hosted by Dana Marie.

KQSM-FM

On September 18, 1995, the call sign was changed to KFAY-FM. The station adopted a country music format as "Sam98" and the call sign was changed to KQSM-FM on May 24, 2004.

KKEG

On June 11, 2009, the rock format on 92.1 FM Fayetteville was moved to 98.3 FM as "98.3 The Keg" along with the KKEG call sign. The KQSM-FM call sign was moved to 92.1 FM.
