Novaci (Macedonian: Новаци ) is a municipality in southern Republic of Macedonia. Novaci is also the name of the village where the municipal seat is found. Novaci Municipality is a part of the Pelagonia Statistical Region.
History
By the 2003 territorial division of Macedonia, the rural municipalities of Bac and Staravina have been merged with Novaci Municipality.
Demographics
According to the last national census from 2002, this municipality has 3,549 inhabitants.[1] Ethnic groups in the municipality include:
- Macedonians = 3,490 (98.3%)
- others = 59 (1.7%)
