Ribeira Prata is a settlement in the western part of the island of São Nicolau, Cape Verde. The settlement name is named after the stream meaning the silver stream in Portuguese as the color of the stream has a silvery color especially its smaller rocks. Its 2010 population was 173.[1] It is situated around 10 km north of Tarrafal de São Nicolau.

Its subdivisons are divided into three neighborhoods (bairros) including:

- Barreira
- Chã
