Rodolfo Gilbert Pizarro Thomas (born February 15, 1994) is a Mexican footballer who plays as an central midfielder and right midfielder for Pachuca.
Career
Rodolfo Pizarro plays for Pachuca of the Liga MX and rose through the ranks of the Pachuca youth team. He made his debut on September 14, 2012 coming in on as a substitute in the 71st minute in a 3-2 win over Morelia. He made his first start on October 3. 2012 in a 2-0 loss at Puebla and has become a regular starter since.
International career
Mexico U-23
On September 18, 2015 Rodolfo Pizarro was selected by coach Raul Gutierrez to play in the 2015 CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying Championship. Mexico went on to win the tournament and qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics as Pizarro was named to the tournament best XI.[1]
Mexico national team
On January 29, 2014 he made his debut for the national team in a friendly game against South Korea where he played the 90 minutes. On September 9, 2014 he played for 78 minutes against Bolivia. Pizarro scored his first goal for Mexico in the 87' minute of the friendly match against Senegal in Miami, Florida on February 10, 2016.[2]
