Saul Ewing LLP is an East Coast law firm.
History
Saul Ewing's history goes back to 1863. An attorney and art collector by the name of John G. Johnson argued 168 cases before the United States Supreme Court. He practiced law up until his death in April 1917. After his death, Johnson’s law practice was taken over by his salaried associates, who formed Pritchard, Saul, Bayard & Evans. In March 1921, the firm was dissolved and a split of attorneys occurred, leading to the foundation of today’s Saul Ewing.[1]
It has 11 regional offices in Baltimore, Maryland; Boston, Massachusetts; Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania; Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; Newark, New Jersey; New York, New York; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Princeton, New Jersey; Washington, D.C.; and Wilmington, Delaware.
