Scarlett Mellish Wilson is an English model and dancer, who works in Indian cinema.[2]

Personal Life

Wilson got married to Pravesh Rana in August 2016.[3]

Career

Wilson studied performing arts at the Tiffany Theatre College in London.[4] She got trained in ballet and jazz.[5] She said that she has been dancing since the age of one.[6]

She came to India in 2009 to work in Bollywood and began modeling.[7] She also assisted on choreography for the TV show Chak Dhoom Dhoom [4] and worked across many cities in various projects including television and commercial ads [6] with actors like Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan.[5]

She had worked with numerous choreographers including Bosco-Caesar who recommended her to director Dibakar Banerjee. She appeared in the item number "Imported Kamariya" in his political thriller film Shanghai in which she also had a small role.[6][7] She said that her role in Shanghai was inspired by Katrina Kaif.[8] After Shanghai she appeared in many item numbers in Bollywood films like Bajatey Raho and R... Rajkumar [9][10] and in the various South Indian film industries. She danced in Telugu films Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu,[11] Chandee [12] and Yevadu and in Kannada films Mahanadhi [13] and Prem Adda.[14] She will be seen in Vijay's Tamil film Jilla too.[15] She also performed in the Punjabi music video Feem (Cut Like A Diamond) by Jazzy B.[16] She won her first lead role in an upcoming film written & directed by Ahsan Hyder in which she is paired opposite Rajeev Khandelwal.[17] Scarlett featured in an item song Manohari in 2015 Indian bilingual film Baahubali: The Beginning, directed by S. S. Rajamouli.[18][19] In 2014, Wilson participated in Dare 2 Dance. She also participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa in 2015.
