Cedar Point Shores, formerly known as Soak City, is a water park located adjacent to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. It is owned and operated by the Cedar Fair Entertainment Company.

History

The waterpark opened as Soak City in 1988 adjacent to Cedar Point. The original complex consisted of 10 slides. In 1990, Main Stream and Tadpole Town were added. In 1995, Zoom Flume, Renegade River and Choo-Choo Lagoon were added. A 6.5-acre addition in 1997 included a 22,500-sq. ft. wave pool, an action slide area with three twisting enclosed inner tube raft slides, an activity pool section with various interactive water elements and an adult activity area with whirpools and a swimup refreshment center. Splash Zone, an interactive water structure was added in 2004. All the water slides in the main complex were repainted for the 2012 season, also a new Mat Racer, Dragster H2O (Now known as "Riptide Raceway"), was added for the 2012 season. On August 18, 2016, Cedar Point has announced that Soak City would be renamed into Cedar Point Shores, and will be expanded to include a slide complex, and a new family Splashground called Lemmy's Lagoon, replacing the old Choo Choo Lagoon that was demolished. The Surf Shop was also demolished. All current slides will be renamed according to the Cedar Point Shores Website.

Riptide Raceway 2012 A six lane Mat Racer. The slide is 45 feet (14 m) tall with a max speed of 30 miles per hour (48 km/h). Previously known as Dragster H20 from 2012 to 2016. Manufactured by WhiteWater West.[2] Over 42" 5
Lake Erie Nor'easter 1997 A slide complex featuring three enclosed water slides. The slides are notably black which produces a pitch black ride. Formerly Eerie Falls from 1997-2016. Over 48" 5

SplasH20 2004 SplasH20 is a multi-story interactive play area with more than 100 different wet and wild water gadgets that spray, squirt and drench guests. Racy water slides, speedy chutes, spewing geysers, activity pools and many other cascading aqua elements. Formerly Splash zone from 2004-2016. Fisherman's Fury 1988 Three body slides with several tunneling areas, twists, and looping turns.
