The Hallway is an indie rock band from Elverum, Norway. The band formed in 2015 by Simen Schikulski, bassist of Spellemannprisen-winning pop band Team Me.[1] The band released its first EP on Rallye Label in Japan, then later in Norway and worldwide.

Formation and Vestad

The Hallway made its concert debut in 2016 in Tønsberg at Slottsfjell music festival.[2] The band released its first EP, Vestad, at first in Japan only on Rallye Label, an indie record label in Japan which features a lot of Norwegian music on its roster. Later the EP had its Norwegian and worldwide release on the Norwegian indie record label, Furuberget.

The EP is named after a neighbourhood in the Norwegian city of Elverum where it was recorded.[3] In August the band played John Dee music as part of Øyafestivalen, a citywide music showcase and conference in Oslo, Norway and was featured in Line Of Best Fit's Five Norwegian Artists to See at Øya Festival list. The band has performed at the no:Sørveiv music festival and conference in Kristiansand and is booked to play the Trondheim Calling music festival.[4]
