WZOK (branded as 97ZOK) is a radio station serving the Rockford, Illinois area with a Top 40 (CHR) format. It broadcasts on FM frequency 97.5 MHz and is under ownership of Townsquare Media.

On August 30, 2013, a deal was announced in which Townsquare would acquire 53 Cumulus Media stations, including WZOK, for $238 million. The deal is part of Cumulus' acquisition of Dial Global; Townsquare and Dial Global are both controlled by Oaktree Capital Management.[2][3] The sale to Townsquare was completed on November 14, 2013.[4]

Programming

The Steve Shannon show is weekdays every morning from 5:30-10:00 am. Midday Michelle is from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.Sweet Lenny has the afternoon shift from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Syndicated Popcrush Nights with Lisa Paige airs weeknights 7 pm-12 am. Since Rockford does not have a Hot AC station in its immediate listening area, WZOK omits most rap and hard rock during the work day to try to compete with AC WGFB and the closest Hot AC WDKB FM for at work audience.
