Zarnaq (Persian: زرنق; also known as Zaraq, Zarnā, and Zerna)[1] is a city in the Central District of Heris County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 4,766, in 1,132 families.[2]

In the wake of White Revolution (early 1960s) a clan of Mohammad Khanlu tribe, comprising 35 households, used Zarnaq as their winter quarters. [3]
