Arden, Missouri

Arden is an unincorporated community in Douglas County, in the U.S. state of Missouri.[1]

History

A post office called Arden was estalished in 1886, and remained in operation until 1924.[2] The community's name alludes to the Forest of Arden, the setting of William Shakespeare's As You Like It.[3]
