Dylan Matthew Schmidt (born 7 January 1997) is a New Zealand individual and synchronised trampolinist. He competed at world championships, including at the 2014 and 2015 Trampoline World Championships.[1]
He took up trampolining at age five and began competing in 2005. He trains six days a week, usually two-hour sessions, with his training partner Kierran Tuhi. As a junior he won the gold medal at the 2009 World Junior Championships in Russia.
He was named the 2014 College Sport Auckland Young Sportsperson of the Year.
Personal
His brother Callum Schmidt and sister Rachel Schmidt have also competed internationally in trampolining. He graduated from King's College, Auckland, New Zealand in 2014. He now studies commerce at the University of Auckland.[2] His hobbies are hunting, fishing, clay bird shooting, mountain biking.[3]
