Grêmio F.B.P.A. Academy is the youth academy of Brazilian football club Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense. It has been noted for having one of the most successful youth development programmes in Latin America. This is surmised by their discovery of talented players which have gone on to play professionally and abroad, including Ronaldinho, who won the FIFA Ballon d'Or twice in a row.

The first reserve team of the club are the under-20s, also called the junior team, which compete in the top Brazilian youth league, Campeonato Brasileiro Sub-20, and have won the title on two occasions. It also has numerous lower categories, with the most relevant two being the under-19s and under-17s. All youth teams play their games in CT Hélio Dourado, a special-purpose stadium designated for the academy.

Under-19s

The Under-19s is the second most important team in the Grêmio's academy. In practice, consists almost entirely of players with a maximum of 18 years old.

In 2014 season, the team will compete the Taça Belo Horizonte de Futebol Júnior in the second half of the year, representing the under-20s squad, who will be playing the Copa Sul-Fronteira. In this championship, Grêmio was eliminated for Vasco da Gama losing 1-0 in the Round of 16.

Under-17s

The Under-17's squad of Grêmio is also called Juvenil team and is formed by players under 17 years old.

In 2014 season, competes in the Copa do Brasil Sub-17, Copa Santiago de Futebol Juvenil and Campeonato Gaúcho Sub-17. The Copa Santiago opened the season being played in January, where the club was eliminated in the semifinals by 3-2 for the Corinthians. The Copa do Brasil was played in the first half of the year, being that the club got to the finals, being defeated by 2-1 aggregate against Atlético Mineiro, who was the winner.

Under-16s

The Grêmio's Under-16's squad is also called B Juvenil team and is formed by players with a maximum of 16 years old. It has great integration with the above category, constantly providing players when necessary.

In 2014 season, disputes the second division of the Campeonato Gaúcho Sub-17. The team can't be promoted due to the Grêmio Under-17s team already participate in the first division of the competition.
