Hormuz (Persian: هرمز, also Romanized as Hormoz; also known as Qal‘eh-ye Hormoz)[1] is a city in and the capital of Hormuz District, in Qeshm County, Hormozgan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 5,699, in 1,143 families.[2]
