Kihniö is a municipality of Finland.
It is located in the region of Pirkanmaa, Western Finland. The municipality has a population of 2,022 (31 March 2016)[2] and covers an area of 390.50 square kilometres (150.77 sq mi) of which 33.39 km2 (12.89 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 5.66 inhabitants per square kilometre (14.7/sq mi).
The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
