Miss Senegal is a national Beauty pageant in Senegal.
History
Miss Senegal was existed since 1960 by Ministry of Tourism, Senegal. The main winner becomes national goodwill ambassador of her country. Senegal also has been experienced at some International pageants such as Miss Universe, Miss International and Miss West Africa.
In 2012 Rabyatou Diallo elected to be president of Miss Senegal pageant and had successfully selected ambassadors to Senegal. Las winner was Anna Diouf of Thies. The that year, Pendy Ly won the title of Miss Senegal and planned to go to Miss Universe 2012 but failed after she did not get right to go to the pageant because the country does not sign up Miss Universe franchise.[1]
In January 2016, Miss Senegal rights belong to Amina Badiane as the new president of Miss Senegal. She has evolved over many years in Europe (especially Italy and France) as a professional model. Subsequently, it was also host and presenter at major Italian television channels.[2]
Nowadays, Senegal does not exist at any major beauties competitions like Miss Universe. The main winner expected to be a goodwill ambassador to Senegal and take an opportunity in abroad experience.
