Panuhat is a census town under Katwa police station and Katwa subdivision,[1] in Barddhaman district in the Indian state of West Bengal.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[2] Panuhat had a population of 5665. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Panuhat has an average literacy rate of 60%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 67%, and female literacy is 54%. In Panuhat, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Education
Panuhat has four primary and one secondary schools.[3]
