Paolo Tagliavento (born 19 September 1972 in Terni) is an Italian association football referee who currently officiates in the Serie A as well as UEFA competitions such as the European Champions League and the Europa League. He has refereed in the old UEFA Cup. Since 2007 he has officiated internationals.
History
Tagliavento has been refereeing in the Serie A since 2004 and since the 2003-04 Serie A season, officiating 87 matches to date. In the Serie B he has notched up 14 games, whilst he has also officiated 2 Coppa Italia in 09-10, as well as a relegation match in 2009. He has refereed a total of 17 European Cup games.
On December 8, 2010, he debuted as a referee in UEFA Champions League, in the match between Arsenal and Partizan.
International
Tagliavento has refereed International Friendlies, U21 European Qualifiers, as well as 2 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification matches in Europe.
