Pascal Dupraz (born 19 September 1962 in Annemasse, France) is a former football forward and currently manager of the Ligue 1 team Toulouse FC.

Managerial career

Evian

On 3 September 2012 Dupraz replaced Pablo Correa as manager of Évian Thonon Gaillard F.C..[1] At the time, Evian was 18th in the table and in danger of relegation, but Duprez kept the club in Ligue 1, finishing the 2012–13 Ligue 1 season in 16th with 10 wins, 10 draws and 18 losses. The club improved to 14th in the 2013–14 Ligue 1, as Dupraz guided them to 11 wins, 11 draws and 16 losses. However, in the 2014–15 Ligue 1 season Evian slipped to 18th was relegated after finishing with 11 wins, 4 draws and 23 losses. Dupraz was dismissed on 30 June 2015.[2]

Toulouse

Dupraz was named manager of Toulouse FC in the Ligue 1.[3] on 2 March 2016 following the resignation of Dominique Arribagé. When he took over the club, it was 19th in the table 10 points adrift of safety with 10 games to go. Miraculously, he managed to keep Toulouse in Ligue 1, getting them into 17th on the 2nd last week of the season.

Toulouse drew Marsielle 1-1 away from home in Dupraz's first game in charge.[4] Dupraz led Toulouse to 5 wins, 3 draws and 2 losses to finish the 2015–16 Ligue 1 season in 17th.[5]

In Popular Culture Dupraz is widely known as a brave survivor of an incident whereby a floating piece of paper grazed his head during a match. Fortunately, although clearly dazed and shaken to the core, he was able to summon the inner strength to carry on.[6] A number of Ice hockey players and fans have since been hospitalized due to an inability to stop laughing when viewing the video replay.
