Ruino is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pavia in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 60 km south of Milan and about 30 km southeast of Pavia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 785 and an area of 21.3 km².[1] Center of the municipality is the village of Pometo. Pometo, whose population numbers only 200, is famous for the bread it produces.[2]
Ruino borders the following municipalities: Borgoratto Mormorolo, Caminata, Canevino, Fortunago, Montalto Pavese, Nibbiano, Rocca de' Giorgi, Val di Nizza, Valverde, Zavattarello.
