Varzi is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pavia in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 70 km south of Milan and about 40 km south of Pavia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,515 and an area of 58.8 km².[1]
The municipality of Varzi contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Bognassi, Bosmenso, Casa Bertella, Castellaro, Cella, Monteforte, Nivione, Pietragavina, Rosara, Sagliano, and Santa Cristina.
Varzi borders the following municipalities: Bagnaria, Fabbrica Curone, Gremiasco, Menconico, Ponte Nizza, Romagnese, Santa Margherita di Staffora, Val di Nizza, Valverde, Zavattarello.
