The San Marino and Rimini Coast's motorcycle Grand Prix is a motorcycling event that is part of the World Motorcycle Racing season. The name of the race is a misnomer as the race has always taken place in Italy, but because there is already an Italian motorcycle Grand Prix, it was called the San Marino Grand Prix because of the track's location near San Marino. The race was first put the season schedule in 1981, but has been taken off and re-introduced a few times. Most recently it was re-introduced for the 2007 season and has remained through the 2016 season.
