Todd Michael Muller is a New Zealand politician who was elected to the New Zealand parliament at the 2014 general election as a representative of the New Zealand National Party.
Personal life
Todd Muller was born in Te Aroha and raised in Te Puna, a small rural settlement just out of Tauranga in New Zealand. He attended Waikato University earning his Master’s Degree in politics and history. Todd is married to Michelle and is father to their three children, Aimee, Bradley, and Amelia. The family have one dog, Maisy Muller.
Career
Todd began his career with the New Zealand National Party, then worked as a staffer for former Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Jim Bolger. His recent career experience includes roles as a General Manager for Zespri one of the world’s leading horticultural companies and the recognized category leader in kiwifruit, Chief Executive of Bay of Plenty company Apata Ltd who specialize in post-harvest operations, and most recently as Group Director Cooperative Affairs for Fonterra. He is a former Waikato University Councillor, and sat on the Boards of Plant and Food Research and the Sustainable Business Council.
Political career
Todd is currently the Member of Parliament for the Bay of Plenty electorate. Muller was selected to replace Tony Ryall in 2014.[1] He is Deputy Chairperson of the Education and Science committee and is a member on the Foreign Affairs Defence and Trade committee.
