Yawal is a Taluka, city and municipal council in the Jalgaon district in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

Description

Yawal (Taluka) consists of Kingaon, Anjale, Amoda, Sakali, Faizpur, Sangavi Bk and Nhavi. It has a very old fort said to have belonged to the Sansthanik Raje Nimbalkar (link) documentary proof for this. Yawal has two temples, one of which is the ancient temple of Shree Jagatguru Ved Maharshi Vyas Muni who wrote the Mahabharata, the other being the Tarkeshwar Mandir. Zhambre-Deshmukhs were the original landlords of Yawal. Yawal has 2 rivers (Harita and Sarita a.k.a. Hadkai and Khadkai). Gavali Wadaa has a 9–10 km long wall. It is located on the Barhanpur–Ankaleshwar State Highway 4. British Empire in 1885 year Simcox High School is oldest school and new name is Sane Guruji Secondary And Higher Secondary School.
