2012 Valencia GP2 and GP3 Series rounds
The 2012 Valencia GP2 Series round and the 2012 Valencia GP3 Series round was a group of motor races held at the Valencia Street Circuit in the Spain for the GP2 and GP3 Series championships.[1][2] The races, held on 23 and 24 June, were in support of the European Formula One Grand Prix. The GP2 races were the sixth round of the 2012 GP2 championship, while the GP3 races formed the third round of the 2012 GP3 season.
GP2 Series classification
Qualifying
Notes:
- ^1 — Esteban Gutiérrez, Davide Valsecchi and Johnny Cecotto Jr. were each handed a three grid position penalty and Simon Trummer was dropped two places, having impeded other competitors during the qualifying session.[3]
Feature race
Notes:
- ^2 — Davide Valsecchi had 20 seconds added to his race time after he was judged to have overtaken during a safety car period.[5]
- ^3 — Barwa Addax drivers, Josef Král and Johnny Cecotto Jr. were excluded from the race results, after they were each given tyres which were allocated to the other at the pit stop.[6]
Sprint race
Notes:
- ^4 — Jolyon Palmer and Rodolfo González were both handed a ten place grid position penalty for causing separate collisions during Feature Race.[5]
GP3 Series classification
Qualifying
Notes:
- ^5 — António Félix da Costa was removed from the results of the qualifying due to a technical infringement.[8]
- ^6 — Conor Daly received a 10 place gird penalty the race before for causing an avoidable red flag.[9]

- ^7 — Tio Ellinas was given a one second time penalty added to his race result after contact between him and Kevin Ceccon, dropping him from third to fifth.[12]
- ^8 — António Félix da Costa had a ten place grid penalty for the sprint race after causing an avoidable collision in the sprint race.[13]
