The 2013 Monaco GP2 Series round was a GP2 Series motor race held at the Circuit de Monaco in the Principality of Monaco on 24 and 25 May 2013 as the fourth round of the 2013 GP2 Series season.[1]
Sam Bird took his—and team Russian Time's—second race victory of the season in the feature race, ahead of Kevin Ceccon, who took his maiden GP2 Series podium. Mitch Evans completed the podium in third place.[2] Stefano Coletti became the first Monegasque driver to win on the streets of Monaco since Louis Chiron in 1931, when he won the round's sprint race.[3] In second was Adrian Quaife-Hobbs, also taking his first podium, while Evans took a second consecutive third place in the sprint race.[4]
Classification
Qualifying
As in 2012, qualifying was split into two groups, with the odd numbered cars in Group A and the even numbered cars in Group B. Because Johnny Cecotto Jr. set the fastest overall time, the odd numbered cars lined up on the left-hand side of the grid.[5]
