Caio Lucas Fernandes (born 19 April 1994), commonly known as Caio, is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a winger for Al Ain FC.

Career

Caio was born in Araçatuba, Brazil, and moved to Japan in 2011 at the age of seventeen. He enrolled in Chiba Kokusai High School in Kimitsu and played football for the school club.[1] After graduating from the school, he joined the J1 League club Kashima Antlers in 2014. In his first professional season, Caio scored eight goals from the left wing as Kashima Antlers qualified for the AFC Champions League. Named the J. League’s Young Player of the Year.[2]
