Castle Rock, Missouri

Castle Rock is an extinct town in Osage County, in the U.S. state of Missouri.[1]

Castle Rock was laid out in 1856.[1] The community was named for a nearby rock formation in the form of a castle.[2] A post office called Castle Rock was established in 1856, and remained in operation until 1885.[3] Besides the post office, the community had a schoolhouse.[4]
