Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (Urdu: پاکستان سول ایوی ایشن اتھارٹی) is a regulatory authority, which oversees and regulates all aspects of civil aviation in Pakistan. PCAA's head office is situated in Terminal-1 of Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.[4] PCAA is a member of the International Civil Aviation Organization.[5] Safety Investigation Board (SIB) conduct air safety investigations on direction of Federal Government. Nearly all civilian airports in Pakistan are owned and operated by the PCAA.

Air Crash Investigations
PCAA Safety Investigation Board (SIB) held four air crash investigations on direction of the federal Government of Pakistan.[7]

- Airblue Flight 202 on 28 July 2010
- PIA Flight 688 on 10 July 2006
- JS Air 201 on 5 November 2010
Recognition
According to Service Performance Survey (SPS), a recent survey conducted by Singapore Airlines, the Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore is ranked the world’s leading airport in terms of service performance out of 18 airports from around the world, including Dubai Airport, Cape Town Airport, Mumbai Airport and Campbell Town Airport, U.K. for its good terminal services and effective management.
According to a London Based magazine, unofficial Twitter account of PCAA was ranked as the 'Worlds most optimistic & brilliant' in 2014.[8]

Training
Civil Aviation Training Institute (CATI), Hyderabad works under Civil Aviation Authority. CATI is accredited by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and is member of ICAO TRAINAIR programme. The institute was established in 1982 to fulfill training requirement of Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority and that of the fellow countries of the region.[9]
