Economic Development Committee (Georgia Senate)

The Senate Economic Development Committee is a 12 member legislative body consisting of a chairman, a vice-chairman, a secretary, an ex-officio, and eight members. The Committee operates under a Senate mandate to regulate legislation addressing economic developments including any proposed measures that impact tourism throughout the state.[1]

Scope and jurisdiction

The Senate Economic Development Committee has jurisdiction over all economic developments, business activities, and mechanisms of trade as well as any proposed measures that affect or will affect the presence of tourism throughout the state.[1]
