Fonda, North Dakota

Fonda is an unincorporated community in Rolette County, in the U.S. state of North Dakota.[1]

History

Fonda was laid out in 1888.[2] A post office called Kelvin was established in 1901, and remained in operation until 1953.[3] The community was named for William Thomson, 1st Baron Kelvin, a British mathematical physicist and engineer.[2]
