Jorge Luis Bonifacio (born June 4, 1993) is a Dominican professional baseball right fielder. He plays in Minor League Baseball for the Kansas City Royals organization.
The Kansas City Royals signed Bonifacio as an international free agent in 2009.[1] He played for the Kane County Cougars of the Class A Midwest League, and appeared in the Midwest League All-Star Game.[2] In 2013, Bonifacio began the season with the Wilmington Blue Rocks of the Class A-Advanced Carolina League. In the final weeks of the season, the Royals promoted Bonifacio to the Northwest Arkansas Naturals of the Class AA Texas League. After the season, they assigned him to the Peoria Javelinas of the Arizona Fall League.[3] He was named to the Fall Stars Game.[4]
The Royals invited Bonifacio to spring training in 2014.[5][6] He played for the Naturals in 2014 and in 2015.[7] He began the 2016 season with the Omaha Storm Chasers of the Class AAA Pacific Coast League, and was selected to appear in the 2016 All-Star Futures Game.[8]
Bonifacio is the younger brother of Emilio Bonifacio.[2][3]

Edwards attended Marshall County High School in Benton, Kentucky and played college baseball at Rend Lake College and Western Kentucky University.[9] He was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 19th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft.[10] The Royals added him to their 40-man roster after the 2016 season.[11]

Gallagher was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the second round of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft out of Manheim Township High School in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.[13][14] The Royals added him to their 40-man roster after the 2016 season.[11]

Fred Foster Griffin (born July 27, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Kansas City Royals organization.
Griffin was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the first round of the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft out of The First Academy.[15][16][17] He signed on June 10,[18] and was assigned to the Burlington Royals, where he posted a 3.21 ERA in 28 innings pitched. Griffin spent 2015 with the Lexington Legends where he went 4-6 with a 5.44 ERA. In 2016, Griffin split time between Lexington and the Wilmington Blue Rocks, where he posted a combined 6-4 record and a 5.43 ERA between the two teams.[19]

Jakob Benjamin Lee Junis (born September 16, 1992) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Kansas City Royals organization.
Junis attended Rock Falls High School in Rock Falls, Illinois and was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 29th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft.[20] He made his professional debut in 2012 with the Burlington Royals and pitched 2013 with the Idaho Falls Chukars and 2014 with the Lexington Legends. Junis pitched for the Wilmington Blue Rocks and Northwest Arkansas Naturals in 2015 and started 2016 with Northwest Arkansas.[21] In August he was promoted to the Omaha Storm Chasers.[22] The Royals added him to their 40-man roster after the season.[11]

O'Hearn played college baseball at Sam Houston State University. He was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the eighth round of the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft.[23] He made his professional debut with the Idaho Falls Chukars.[24][25] O'Hearn started 2015 with the Lexington Legends and was promoted to the Wilmington Blue Rocks during the season.[26]

Ashelee "Ashe" Brenton Russell (born August 28, 1996) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Kansas City Royals' organization.
Russell attended in Cathedral High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year for Indiana both his junior and senior seasons.[27][28] As a sophomore he went 12–1 with a 1.23 earned run average (ERA) with 101 strikeouts and as a junior he was 8–1 with a 0.88 ERA and 74 strikeouts.[29]
Russell was selected by the Kansas City Royals as the 21st overall pick in the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft.[30] Russell signed with the Royals,[31] and was assigned to the Burlington Royals, where he posted a 4.21 ERA in 36.1 innings pitched. Russell only played two games in 2016 for the AZL Royals, where he posted a 9.00 ERA in those two games.[32]

Edward Starlin Salcedo (born July 30, 1990) is a Dominican third baseman in the Kansas City Royals organization.
Salcedo signed with the Atlanta Braves on February 23, 2010, to a minor league contract. His $1.6 million signing bonus is the largest the Braves have ever given to an international prospect. The Braves say they regard the 6-foot-3 Salcedo as a first-round talent who is projected as a strong offensive and defensive player. He was named the 9th best Atlanta Braves prospect according to Kevin Goldstein of Baseball Prospectus.[33] Salcedo's playing career was delayed due to suspicions about his valid age. He was once considered the top international prospect back in 2007 and was offered a $2.7 million signing bonus by the Cleveland Indians but was voided by the United States government due to his age.[34]
On January 13, 2014, he was invited to spring training. The Braves traded Salcedo to the Pirates for Bryton Trepagnier on February 5, 2015.[35] He was traded to the Kansas City Royals in August 2015.[36]

Samuel Ayres Selman (born November 14, 1990) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Kansas City Royals organization.
Selman was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the 14th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft out of St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Austin, Texas. He did not sign and played college baseball at Vanderbilt University for the Commodores from 2010 to 2012.
Selman was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the second round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft.[37] He signed with the Royals and made his professional debut with the Idaho Falls Chukars, recording a 2.09 earned run average (ERA) and 89 strikeouts in 60 1⁄3 innings. Selman played for the Wilmington Blue Rocks in 2013. In a game against the Potomac Nationals in August, Selman was removed after eight no-hit innings due to pitch count.[38] Selman started 2014 with the Double-A Northwest Arkansas Naturals and was promoted to the Triple-A Omaha Storm Chasers in August.[39]

Eric L. Skoglund (born October 26, 1992) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Kansas City Royals organization.
Skoglund attended Sarasota High School in Sarasota, Florida. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 16th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft but did not sign and attended the University of Central Florida (UCF), where he played college baseball.[40][41] After his junior season, he was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the third round of the 2014 MLB Draft.[42]
Skoglund made his professional debut with the Idaho Falls Chukars. He pitched 2015 with the Wilmington Blue Rocks and 2016 with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals.[43]

Sparkman was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 20th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft out of Wharton County Junior College.[44] He made his professional debut that season with the Idaho Falls Chukars. In 2014 he played for Wilmington Blue Rocks.[45] After recording a 1.56 earned run average (ERA) he was named the Carolina League Pitcher of the Year.[46] Sparkman spent the 2015 season with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals where he posted a 2-2 record with a 3.60 ERA.[47]

Joshua Tyler Staumont (born December 21, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Kansas City Royals organization.
Staumont attended La Habra High School in La Habra, California and played college baseball at Azusa Pacific University. He was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the second round of the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft.[48] He became the highest selected players from Asuzsa Pacific.[49] He made his professional debut that year with the Arizona League Royals and was later promoted to the Idaho Falls Chukars. In 2016 Staumont pitched for the Wilmington Blue Rocks and Northwest Arkansas Naturals.[50][51] After the season he played in the Arizona Fall League.

Chase Anthony Vallot (born August 21, 1996) is an American professional baseball catcher in the Kansas City Royals organization.
Vallot attended St. Thomas More School in Lafayette, Louisiana. As a senior he hit .545 with 13 home runs and 60 runs batted in.[53] He won numerous awards that year including Louisiana's Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year and Farm Bureau-Louisiana Sports Writers Association Mr. Baseball.[54][55][56] He was also named the Louisville Slugger Player of the Year.[57] During his career he hit .456 with 25 home runs in 65 games.[58]
Vallot was drafted by the Kansas City Royals with the 40th overall pick in the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft.[59][60] Vallot signed with the Royals, and was assigned to the Burlington Royals, where he posted a .215 batting average with 7 home runs and 27 RBI's.[61]

Nolan Michael Watson is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Kansas City Royals organization. The Kansas City Royals drafted him 33rd overall in the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft. He attended Lawrence North High School.
At the time of the 2015 draft, Watson was 5–1 with Lawrence North, withan 0.63 ERA and 70 strikeouts in 44 2/3 innings. Prior to the draft, he was ranked 56th by Baseball America's annual rankings of prospects.[30]
