Gambatesa is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Campobasso in the Italian region Molise, located about 20 kilometres (12 mi) southeast of Campobasso. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,654 and an area of 42.9 square kilometres (16.6 sq mi).[1]
Gambatesa borders the following municipalities: Celenza Valfortore, Macchia Valfortore, Pietracatella, Riccia, Tufara.
