Henry August Rowland House is a site significant for its association with Henry Augustus Rowland, a physicist.[3]
The house at 915 Cathedral Street in Baltimore, Maryland was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and declared a National Historic Landmark in 1975.[2][4]
The house is listed chiefly for its association with Rowland, rather than for any architectural distinction. The house is a three story red-brick rowhouse, typical of the 1880s in Baltimore. Rowland purchased the house in 1889 or 1890 and lived there until his death in 1901. His wife and daughter continued to live there after his death. The house retains its integrity to the late nineteenth century, apart from the installation of modern electrical service.[4]
