Club career

Born in Braga, Portugal to a Brazilian who played nine years in the country with five clubs, namely with S.C. Braga from 1987 to 1991, Luís Gustavo joined FC Barcelona's youth academy in 2006 at nearly 14. He was promoted to the B-team five years later.[1]
