Luzhou Yunlong Airport (Chinese: 泸州云龙机场) is a dual-use military and civilian airport being constructed to serve the city of Luzhou in China's southwestern Sichuan province. When completed it will replace the existing Luzhou Lantian Airport. Construction began in October 2013, and the airport is projected to open in 2016, with a total investment of 2.77 billion yuan.[1][2]

The airport is located 17 kilometres north of the city centre of Luzhou, at the boundary of the towns of Yunlong in Lu County, and Shidong and Shuangjia in Longmatan District.[2]

Facilities

Luzhou Yunlong will be a class 4D airport, with the ability to handle Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 aircraft. It will have a 10,000 square-meter terminal building, and ten aircraft parking spots. It is projected to handle 810,000 passengers by 2020.[1]
