This is a list of NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Tournament bids by school,[1] at the conclusion of the 2016 conference tournaments. Schools whose names are italicized are no longer in Division I, and can no longer be included in the tournament.

There are a total of 64 bids possible (32 automatic qualifiers, 32 at-large) at the beginning of the 2016 NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Tournament.

Vacated appearances are not included in the totals.
