Palmyra, Portage County, Ohio

Palmyra is an unincorporated community in Portage County, in the U.S. state of Ohio.[1]

History

A post office called Palmyra was established in 1807, and remained in operation until 1904.[2] The community most likely was named after Palmyra, New York.[3] In the mid-1880s, Palmyra contained several factories, stores, and three saloons.[4]
